Rafted Canoe (Water Safety Day)
Rafted Canoe (Water Safety Day)
The 2025 Cambridgeshire Water Safety Day will take place at Grafham Reservoir on 30th May 2025, hosted by Grafham Water Centre, a service of Cambridgeshire County Council, in collaboration with the Outdoor Foundation. This free event will bring together water safety practitioners, advocates, and educators from across the county to promote inclusive drowning prevention. Aimed at children, young people, and families, the day will highlight the importance of ensuring everyone—regardless of background—can enjoy water safely.
As part of our Water Safety Day, we are pleased to be able to offer sessions on our rafted canoes. These are a great way to get out on the water with the whole family and experience the joys of paddlesport without the worry of falling in. The 6-seater craft is perfect for all ages and ability. Due to the additional stability of these craft, they are excellent for people with limited mobility. You just need to be able to transfer yourself into the boat.
Buoyancy aids are provided, please bring a change of clothes and shoes which can get wet!
Aged 6 and upwards.
Please choose your time slot from the 4 available, and add the number of people you wish to attend. Build your own timetable with the various activities on offer, and don't forget our BBQ!
