Level 3 Forest School Leader

This training is offered by Under The Hazels which is endorsed by the Forest School Association (FSA)  This will run at Bourne Wood, Landbeach, and NOT Grafham Water Centre.  Your confirmation email may say otherwise.

Autumn 2025 dates and venue:

L3:  20-21 September, 1-5 and 17-21 October.  All dates must be attended.     

·       Meet at Landbeach Village Hall at 8.30am on 20th September 2025. Map attached.

·         Each day runs from 8.30 am-4.30/5 pm

 

Summary of Level 3 course structure:

Level 3 qualifies you to run Forest School in your setting as a Forest School Leader.

 

Training is a mix of practical, theoretical, experiential and reflective activities all delivered outside over 12 days. There are five units- all taught with a strong emphasis on principles and practice. Assessment work is submitted in a mixed format- videos, photographs, and spoken word. There are NO written essays, and every unit has a clear and scaffolded template.

 

Once you have signed up for the course, you must complete the additional application form (attached to your confirmation email) and return it to carol@underthehazels.org.

You must also sign up for the ITC Level 3 Award in Forest School and Paediatric First Aid (RQF).  This is at an additional cost and the booking link for this is here -    https://grafhamwater.cinolla.com/grafham-water/course/forest-school-and-paediatric-first-aid.  You can choose which date suits you best.

 

NOTE: You need to be over 21 years of age, have a level 2 (or above) qualification in childcare, and at least two years experience of working with children to apply for these courses.
